Canadian rocker Chad Kroeger, known for his powerful voice and his many hits with Nickelback, is being sued by a man who claims he had his face literally busted from an altercation with the star. Court papers filed a short while back say that Noah Morse suffered many injuries after being punched in the mouth by Kroeger, but it’s the fact that he wouldn’t apologize that hurt more than anything, as TMZ can confirm.

The altercation reportedly took place back in 2007 and ended with Morse, a furniture sales representative, requiring urgent medical attention after Kroeger hit him with his fist. Following the incident, Morse reportedly lost a couple of teeth and was in pain for a prolonged period of time, for which reason he’s now suing the star, asking for unspecified damages.

“In the lawsuit, filed in the Supreme Court of British Columbia, Noah Morse claims Kroeger ‘punched [him] forcefully in the mouth’ while outside of a Vancouver bar back in 2007. Morse says the devastating hit to the kisser made him lose consciousness, suffer a concussion and caused extensive damage to his grill – including ‘one deadened front tooth... dislodged upper front teeth and permanent discoloration of more front teeth.’ Morse – who says Kroeger ‘expressed no remorse’ over the fight – is suing for a fistful of reasons, including loss of income and medical expenses.” TMZ says of the lawsuit.

As of now, Kroeger has not yet made any comment on the situation. Granted the allegations that Morse is making in court can be substantiated by evidence, it is believed the singer will try to settle the matter before it gets to be played out in court. There is, of course, the question of why it took Morse two years to file a legal action against his alleged assailant, as Nickelback fans point out on dedicated forums.

This, they say, could possibly indicate that the entire case is nothing but just one man’s attempt at cashing in on Kroeger’s fame, but that is yet to be determined. For more on this, keep an eye on this space.
