A man has been arrested for stealing an iPhone from a toddler as his mom was deciding what shoes to shop, three feet away.

36-year-old Kira Talley was out shopping with her 3-year-old son Aidan in Greenwich Village, New Jersey. As the woman was deciding on which shoes to pick, the toddler was three feet away playing on his mom’s iPhone.

A grown man then came and snatched the device from the kid’s hands. Before his mother could even move a muscle, he was out the door.

“Aidan said, ‘Mommy, he took your phone,’” according to the mother. “I was within arm’s reach, literally could reach out and touch him and it happened so fast,” said Talley.

1010 WINS reports that the police was able to track down the thief, 53-year-old Feliberto Ramirez, using Apple’s Find My iPhone app.

Ramirez’s bail has been set at $10,000 after being charged with grand larceny.
