If you really love a town and you want to take it with you everywhere you go, just pick up a rock and you will always be carrying part of it around.

That's how a Brooklyn man is promoting his business – selling rocks on Etsy. Floyd Hayes's product is named “Pieces of Brooklyn” and it is, literally, a rock in a plastic case.

$1 (€0.75) of every rock sold will go back to the Brooklyn Arts Council, he says. According to Gothamist, Hayes has been living in New York City for 10 years, since moving from the U.K.

He advertises that this is a chance for anyone to "own their very own piece of the coolest neighborhood in the world." Of course, if the neighborhood were so great, nobody would be selling rocks there to make a living.
