14 DAY TRIAL // A new video that made it online just a couple of days ago and that is now understandably making the rounds shows two pranksters tricking one of their friends into thinking that he's killed someone.
As far as pranks go, this is probably one of the most imaginative and perfectly executed ones. Then again, it might also be one of the absolute worst.
How the prank played out
The footage, available below, shows Richy and Mark, the brains behind The Royal Stampede, convincing one of their friends, Mike, to put on a rabbit suit and go around town jumping in front of people and scaring them.
What Mark doesn't know is that he's about to be pranked himself.
Being utterly and completely clueless about what Richy and Mark are really up to, Mike plays his part and spooks several people. The tables are turned when he jumps in front of an old man who fakes a heart attack and collapses to the ground.
To Mike, however, the heart attack seems pretty real. After all, he is the only one out of the loop.
Rather than come clean about what they had done then and there, Richy and Mark let the prank go on. The pensioner is rushed to the nearest hospital, and minutes later, Mike is told that the man had passed away. Naturally, he doesn't take it well.
When Richy and Mark confess at long last, Mike is clearly upset.
Eventually, however, he finds it in his heart to laugh at the entire affair. Still, it's safe to assume that it will be a while until the man feels that he can trust Richy and Mark again. Provided that that's ever going to happen, that is.
Mixed reactions
It was a tricky game that Richy and Mark played, and so their prank got mixed reactions from people. Some were quick to label them immature and call them names, others congratulated them for their wits.
Interestingly, some viewers suggested that they should have just let Mike think that he'd killed a man for at least a few months, just to see what he would have done.
“They should have let him think he was responsible for the man's death then have the man follow him around sometimes or walk by him in the street. He could standing across the street staring at him and everyone could act like they don't see the man... except for him,” somebody said.
