Julian Cole decided to focus on a Christmas themed protest for the shortage of trains

Julian Cole's creativity and holiday spirit is deeply appreciated, and his special way of protesting may have actually had an impact, or at least stirred some discussions. In an attempt to make authorities more aware of the L line trains shortage, the man placed a card explaining the issue, on a gift-wrapped human mold.

Making signs and placards or standing in the street yelling about your cause didn't seem appealing to Julian so he decided to protest in his own special way. He made a green gift-wrapped mold of himself and placed it on one of the benches of Brooklyn's busiest subway station.

In addition to the green fake man, there was also a Christmas gift-card attached to its chest as a “friendly reminder,” concerning the fact that the train demands are not fulfilled taking into consideration the growing population.

The card wrote “Dear MTA, Merry Christmas! Here's a present I am sure you are looking forward to opening. Add this one to the other 60,000 presents who have moved into the borough in the last 2 years! Best of luck with those extra trains services. Love, Brooklyn,” according to Daily Mail.

Cole's life-size installation attracted a few looks, and hopefully his friendly reminder was also considered by the Metropolitan Transportation Authority. As Brooklyn's population has been constantly growing, the trains connecting it to Manhattan don't seem to cope with the demand anymore, being busy and crowded most of the time.

Julian Cole is known for his 2012 project application that predicted the temperature of the L train' subway platforms. The project, called L Degrees used a system that made it possible for Cole to use data from Yahoo Weather's localized predicaments. For now, Cole is just trying to send a message, urging the MTA to add those long-promised trains to the L line at least during peak times.
