Sometimes, they're not using them on games

Usually, Xbox 360 consoles are used as fun ways of spending your loads of free time. Playing games is the best activity in the world and, as I've said, the Xbox 360 is one of the items that turn gaming into a real world thing. However, it seems that Microsoft's console can be helpful in other situations.

Tyrone Vontell Horton, a 32-year-old man, pawned an Xbox console in order to pay the rent (or so it appears) but there is one huge problem in this story: the 360 was not his, but his roommate's (who was in rehab, so he couldn't have paid for his share of the rent). Strange story, right?

The interesting thing is that the $453.59 purchased console was pawned for just $230, but it was enough to keep our 32-year-old man happy. Initially, when contacted by phone and asked about the situation, he denied the whole deal but later agreed to turn himself in, and then announced he would plead not guilty. Tyrone Vontell Horton faces the charge of fourth-degree theft - punishable by up to a year in prison.

Strange or not, there are a few voices which agree with the man's actions, claiming that his roommate shouldn't have gone to rehab, leaving behind an unpaid rent. Which is again strange, since paying for the rent is probably the last thing a guy going to rehab thinks about. Of course, this is no excuse for him and no reason not to pay the rent. And the same can be said about the man who pawned the Xbox 360. It would've been much better and funnier to deal with the situation if he had invited the owner to a Halo 3 session instead, let him win and "forget" about the rent!
