Businessman Afzal Khan, from the UK, has turned down a generous offer to sell his coveted “F1” license plate number.
In the photo posted above, the plate is used on Khan's Bugatti Veyron. He has been offered $9.37M (£6M / €7M) to turn over the plate.
His investment would have paid off, as he only bought it for $690,000 (£440,000 / €515,000).
“We have received a significant multi-million pound offer for the F1 plate which we rejected out of hand. Mr Kahn has no interest in selling F1, which is his favorite plate,” a spokesman for Khan has stated, as conveyed by the Daily Mail.
When he acquired it in 2008, he set a record in Britain. It was being used on a used Volvo S80 and it had been registered over a century ago.
