A Chinese man by the name of Xiaolian now has a nose growing on his forehead. Surgeons say that, in due time, they will cut it out and transplant it to its rightful place.

According to Daily Mail, Xiaolian lost his original nose after he was involved in a traffic accident back in August 2012. At that time, the man did not seek medical attention. The result was that his original nose became infected and corroded.

By the looks of it, doctors were left with no choice except grow the man a new one.

The nose now resting on Xiaolian's forehead was engineered from cartilage extracted from the man's ribs and his own skin tissue.

It has developed well, and specialists expect that it will not be long until they are able to perform the transplant surgery.
