The unidentified seller admits to “accidentally stealing it while extremely intoxicated,” then asks for the owner to claim it, because he does not want to clean up after him.
The pet got stolen in Chico, while the drunk user thought that he was saving it. He only realized the next day that his new feline friend had a collar. He checked on it after remembering that he had a cat in the house.
The “frisky black” Craigslist cat is named Django and it's currently eating a menu consisting entirely out of cheese. As Metro suggests, that might not be that healthy for the pet. Other than that, it seems to be doing fine.
