Towards the end of last week, a bunch of real estate agents gathered around at a conference in Ann Arbor, a city in Michigan, US. For no reason at all, they decided to set aside their working agenda for a while and do a random act of kindness.

In a nutshell, the real estate agents called a local restaurant and asked for a pizza. While waiting for their order to arrive, they raised money for the delivery guy's tip. Apparently, they ended up raising way more money than the pizza they ordered was worth.

The tip that ended up making headlines

When the Pizza House employee finally got around to delivering the real estate agents attending last week's conference in Ann Arbor their pizza, he was handed a $2,084 (€1,800) tip, together with a Visa gift card, lottery tickets, and even personalized messages written by the agents themselves.

The delivery guy, identified only as Rob, was taken aback by the generosity of the Keller Williams Realty agents. In fact, word has it that it took him a couple of minutes to realize what was happening and come to terms with the fact that he was suddenly $2,084 richer.

In fact, The Inquisitr tells us that, according to the current delivery manager at Pizza House in Ann Arbor, Rob was pretty much ecstatic about his tip. Although not as happy, the real estate agents were quite pleased with themselves as well.

Not the first guy to get a big tip in the US

Just day ago, a cab company dubbed Freedom Taxi announced that, back in last year's December, one of his employees in the city of Philadelphia in Pennsylvania was handed a $989.98 (€844.83) tip by a mysterious customer. Ever weirder, the driver got this tip for a 1-minute drive.

“The mystery rider told Mr. Maiga that he appreciated how professional he and his cab were and that he wanted to give him the enormous tip before wishing him a good night,” Freedom Taxi detailed this peculiar incident in a statement.

What's more, it was in October 2014 that one other pizza delivery guy, this time a Domino's employee in Indiana, was handed a $1,248 (€980) tip, together with $70 (€55) in gift cards and a whole lot of inspirational notes by a group pf students at the Indiana Wesleyan University in the city of Marion.
