U.S. Customs and Border Protection officials in Los Angeles have seized a bike that has been stolen almost 46 years ago.

The 1953 Triumph motorcycle belongs to a now 72-year-old man. The owner used to be a police officer, and the Triumph Tiger t100 was stolen from his backyard in Omaha, Nebraska in 1967.

The blue and black bike was stationed there for all winter, until someone broke in and grabbed it on February 4 or 5.

The CBP recovered it during a seize, before it was transported to Yokohama, Japan, autoevolution reported. Two other stolen bikes were found in the lot, and both had been missing for at least 20 years.

Documentation submitted by Customs officials at the Port of L.A.-Long Beach shows that the bike is worth $9,000 (€6,500), which is about 30 times more than the $300 (€220) it cost decades ago.
