14 DAY TRIAL // 21-year-old Kyle Voissem is likely to soon be sentenced to 3 years in jail as a result of his being found guilty of animal cruelty.
Apparently, it was back in October 2011 when Kyle got really angry at his pet dog and ended up pouring a pot of boiling water on the animal, causing him to suffer third-degree burns. Sources say that Kyle's anger was triggered by the dog's relieving himself on the floor.
This past Tuesday, the 21-year-old former University of Illinois at Chicago gymnast was ordered to undergo a psychiatric evaluation. Still, he is to go back in court towards the end of May, when he might be sentenced to prison time.
Thanks to the Anti-Cruelty Society, Kyle's dog made a full recovery and even got adopted by a new family.
