14 DAY TRIAL // Devorise Dixon of California, US, claims to have found a deep fried rat in a KFC meal he ordered at one of the fast food chain's restaurants in Wilmington.
The man says that, when he first laid eyes on the cooked rodent, he mistook it for an oddly-shaped piece of chicken. When he tried to eat it, however, he realized that something was seriously off.
To prove that he really did find a deep fried rat in his KFC meal, Devorise Dixon snapped a few photos of the alleged rodent and posted them on his Facebook page.
“As I bit into it I noticed that it was very hard and rubbery which made me look at it. As I looked down at it I noticed that it was in a shape of a rat with a tail,” he wrote in a post.

The story is probably bogus
In a statement, KFC explains that, having investigated the incident, they found no evidence that the man had in fact been served a cooked rodent instead of the chicken he wanted.
Further, the fast food chain says that, despite having repeatedly tried to contact Devorise Dixon, the man is yet to take their calls. They are now waiting for the man to contact them.
“We have no evidence to support this claim. We are aggressively trying to reach Mr. Dixon and we request that he return to the restaurant with the product for testing,” KFC writes.
Since the man never chopped up the oddly-shaped piece of meat to show what was inside it and is now proving rather difficult to get a hold of, there are many who believe his story is, well, bogus.
Plainly put, chances are the alleged rat was a run-of-the-mill piece of chicken tender and that the loose end resembling a rat's tail was no more and no less than some hanging skin.
