A Pennsylvania man who was caught breaking into his neighbor's house claims he wasn’t there to rob anything, he just wanted to borrow some eggs to make breakfast.

Police in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, say Christopher King, from Middletown, was caught walking out of the front door by officers who arrived at the scene after receiving a report about an ongoing burglary at that residence.

According to Metro, the incident happened on Tuesday morning, when the 20-year-old man climbed through an open window and entered his neighbors’ house while they were out.

When police arrived to the scene, the man was just preparing to leave, and told officers that he just wanted to borrow some eggs to make breakfast for him and his girlfriend. However, police weren’t convinced by his allegations and searched the home.

As it turns out, they found dresser and cabinet drawers open all through the house – not just in the kitchen, so they assume that, once in the house, the young man decided to open drawers and look for valuables items, but then changed his mind and ended up not stealing anything.

The homeowner confirmed that nothing appeared to be missing from the house.

Mr. King was arrested and charged with burglary and related charges.
