Man Catches Parking Lot Scammers on Tape

These scammers were targeting customers in automated parking lots. They were posing as parking lot attendants legitimately collecting a fee from whoever parked in their section.

The victims of the scam don’t bother asking how come large parking lots are manned by just one attendant. The fact that the scammers don’t wear uniforms doesn’t seem to alarm them either.

According to ScamBusters, people that park in unfamiliar places, especially outside their countries or home towns, are most likely to fall for this scam.

If the scammer really puts in a bit of effort, they will even receive a parking ticket, recovered from customers that had previously used the automated parking system.

If you are not careful, fake parking attendants could direct your car towards an alley, charge you for parking there, and disappear once your car gets towed.
