Most people get in trouble with the law because of mainstream crimes like trying to rob a store or breaking into peoples' homes. A few chosen ones, however, are quite creative when it comes to coming up with unique ways to get cops to arrest them.

Not to beat about the bush, Daily Mail tells us that, not too long ago, 24-year-old Anthony Stallard of Portsmouth, UK, was taken into police custody after pretending to be a ghost haunting the local Kingston Cemetery.

Apparently, it was mourners visiting the graves of friends and family members who contacted authorities and told them that, for reasons unknown to them, a man was walking around the cemetery flapping his hands and making odd noises.

As if pretending to be a ghost and upsetting mourners was not enough to land Anthony Stallard behind bars, the 24-year-old was also seen kicking a ball around with some of his friends and hitting some of the graves at Kingston Cemetery with it.

“While the football was going on, this defendant was effectively singing loudly and being disrespectful in among the graves. He was throwing himself backwards, waving his arms about and going ‘woooooooh.’ I'm assuming he was pretending to be a ghost,” prosecuting attorney Tim Concannon told a court of law.

Once arrested, Anthony Stallard soon came to his senses and realized that his behavior was not appropriate in a cemetery. Still, he was made to pay a £35 (€44 / $59) fine and was also given a suspended prison sentence. Should he throw another fit in the future, he will be sent to prison.
