Eric J. Rosol, a 37-year-old from Black Creek, Wisconsin, accused of helping Anonymous hackers launch a distributed denial-of-service (DDOS) attack against Koch Industries back in February 2011, will appear today, September 11, before a judge.

According to the Associated Press, Rosol formally notified the judge of his intent to plead back in July.

This likely means that the suspect has entered some sort of agreement with prosecutors in an effort to reduce his sentence.

The alleged cybercriminal has been charged with one count of damaging a computer and one count of conspiracy to damage a computer.

Rosol is said to be one of the many individuals who helped Anonymous take down the website of Koch Industries back in 2011. At the time, the hacktivists provided their supporters with an easy-to-use DDOS tool.

As expected, not all those who used the attack tool hid their IP addresses. Rosol might be one of them.
