The man accused of breaking into Jennifer Aniston's house from Malibu pleaded innocent to burglary and criminal trespassing on Monday.
David Hesterbey, 48, from Santa Barbara, allegedly walked into Jennifer Aniston's home and said he was looking for the actress. He was found by the sheriff's deputies walking along the beach near Aniston's Malibu home around noon.
Sheriff's Sgt Ken Scheurn stated that two of Aniston's employees told police Hesterbey walked into the house and asked them where is Jennifer. It is thought he entered the house through an unlocked door.
Aniston, 36, was not home at that time. The actress is currently in Chicago, where she's filming the romantic comedy "The Break Up" with Vince Vaughn.
Hesterbey was charged with first degree burglary and petty theft, and being held in lieu of $70,000 bail.
"The petty theft charge is a result of him taking a cab and stiffing the cab driver," Los Angeles County District Attorney's spokeswoman Jane Robison said. "He took a cab from Santa Barbara to Malibu and then didn't pay."
In convicted, he faces up to six years in jail.
