14 DAY TRIAL // Mama June is not done with reality television, even though she lost her meal ticket, the still-successful reality show Here Comes Honey Boo Boo on TLC after allegations that she renewed her relationship with a convicted pedophile who had just been released from prison after he was found guilty of molesting her own daughter Chickadee.
Rumor has it that she and estranged partner Sugar Bear are being courted right now by producers of Couples Therapy, in the hope that they might agree to be on the next season of the show together.
Mama June and Sugar Bear, and their breakup
Before the pedophile scandal broke in the press, Mama June kicked longtime partner Sugar Bear, who is also the father of Alana aka Honey Boo Boo, out of the house they shared under the pretense that she’d found proof on his computer that he’d been cheating on her.
Sugar Bear had apparently been trolling dating websites trying to hook up with women from the area. He wasn’t looking for something serious, but he was eager to use his “celebrity status” to get ladies to sleep with him.
At the time, it was thought that this was just a PR stunt put together by TLC producers because ratings for the show had started to go down. When the pedophile scandal broke, Sugar Bear suddenly had every reason to stay away from Mama June, but at the same time, he was afraid that she would put Alana in danger by having her around the pedophile.
So Sugar Bear moved back in, a decision that was also meant to help her in the scandal, because her already tarnished image had taken a huge hit. A few days ago, she kicked him out again.
Hope for reconciliation
Mama June and her daughters have moved into a larger, fancier house, but according to reports online and the video below, she might be looking for a new job already. Earnings from Here Comes Honey Boo Boo must have been solid, but money never lasts an eternity, especially when you get accustomed to the finer things in life.
Speaking with a Splash paparazzo outside her home (video below), Mama June hints that she might be on a new reality show, one that should help her and Sugar Bear work through their differences – that is, he agrees to do it too.
She also says that she burned Sugar Bear’s stuff he left behind and that she’s pretty convinced they are done for good.
At the same time, TMZ reports that the two have been contacted by not one but 2 reality shows, one of which is Marriage Boot Camp on WE tv. From Mama June’s smile when she’s asked if she’ll do Couples Therapy, she’s definitely working on her reality TV comeback.
