Mama June, Honey Boo Boo’s mother and co-star on TLC’s insanely successful Here Comes Honey Boo Boo reality show, has long said she doesn’t really care about what people think of her.

She’s also said she plans to have fun throughout her 15 minutes of fame and, as new photos surfaced online can confirm, she’s doing just that – while not caring what people think of her.

The matriarch, who recently shed an impressive 100 pounds (45.3 kg) without even going to the gym, was photographed on the beach on a recent family vacation.

Because Mama June is probably just as famous (if not actually more) than her pint-sized beauty queen daughter Honey Boo Boo, the pics have gone viral.

They’re also drawing plenty of comparisons to the popular hit TV show “Baywatch,” made famous by the likes of Pamela Anderson and Carmen Electra running down the beach to rescue someone.

In fact, BuzzFeed proposes a side by side comparison of Pam and Mama June, which you can see (in GIFs) at the link.

Clearly, Mama June is aware the paparazzi are snapping her, so she’s having fun with it.

Yahoo! News says the entire family was on vacation, a well deserved one, that is.

“The family – including Honey Boo Boo (aka Alana Thompson) – needed the rest and relaxation. They've experienced some difficult times recently; the 7-year-old pageant darling's father, 41-year-old Mike ‘Sugar Bear’ Thompson, was hospitalized and the family's dog was found killed,” the publication notes.

It offers a bit more details on the fam’s vacation destination.

“They traveled to beautiful, idyllic Tybee Island near Savannah, Georgia, where the ladies – including Mama June's nearly 1-year-old granddaughter, Kaitlyn – swam in the ocean for the first time,” Yahoo! says.

Mama June also posted on her Facebook a message confirming that this was her first dip in the ocean, saying she had the time of her life.
