Malwarebytes released the stable version for Anti-Malware 1.70, which brings to the table new features and a handful of improvements.

Users of the Pro version now benefit from the freshly implemented detection for zero-day exploits. Both editions show Windows 8 Start Screen notifications and all the threats detected by the protection module are quarantined automatically by default.

“More Tools” tab features new content. Apart from FileAssassin, the developer integrated the Anti-Rootkit, and a startup manager. More content is expected to be available in the future.

New options present in this revision allow whitelisting and blacklisting detected items straight from the protection prompts.

The improvements for this release touch on heuristics for detecting new and unknown threats, scanner efficiency as well as better compatibility with other security products. Furthermore, Malwarebytes Anti-Malware 1.70 identifies correctly Windows 8 and Internet Explorer 10 in the scan logs.
