Malwarebytes released the first beta for a minor version of their antivirus product. It does not bring to the table any new features as it focuses on repairs.

Malwarebytes Anti-Malware 1.65.1 rolled out with a very short, but quite important list of changes. First off the start type for MBAMService should be set correctly on “automatically” on all systems.

Also fixed is a bug that prevented the protection module from starting on certain Windows machines. Last on the list is eliminating the issue with scans being ended prematurely on some systems.

Malwarebytes Anti-Malware is available as a free download as well as a paid product. The Pro version includes real-time protection against active malware for known threats and heuristic protection against zero-day threats. Additionally, it can block access to malicious web content.
