Ahead of its May 30 release, “Maleficent” is amping up its promotional efforts with a brand new trailer which is called “Legacy” and which features the same film footage as previous videos, but interspersed with animation from the Disney classic original “The Sleeping Beauty.”

Viewers will be able to better understand the film's legacy by watching how the producers mirrored some of the iconic scenes in the cartoon in the new film starring Angelina Jolie in the role of the evil witch.

Sadly, there is no new footage revealed in this video as the new trailer opens up with the infamous birth scene of Sleeping Beauty when all the godmothers come to wish the little princess well, only to be joined at the end by Maleficent.

The role of Maleficent, who was transformed from a beautiful, pure-hearted young woman into a bitter and vengeful witch by the threat of an invading army of her forest kingdom, is played by Angelina Jolie and the role of Aurora, better known as Sleeping Beauty, is played by Elle Fanning. The young Aurora is played by Jolie's own young daughter, Vivienne.

Until “Maleficent” hits theaters on May 30, enjoy Angelina Jolie as a seductive yet evil witch in the newest movie trailer.
