14 DAY TRIAL // MakuluLinux Cinnamon, a Linux distribution based on the Debian testing branch, Jessie, that provides stability, speed, and a modern desktop, has just received a 64-bit version.
Up until now, MakuluLinux was a 32-bit only distribution, but that has changed with this new edition. The Cinnamon flavor is one of the most famous in this family and it's only one of the lightest. Interestingly enough, the developer didn't just settle with making his distribution work on 64-bit machines, he also introduced a new and interesting feature.
Basically, users will be able to save a snapshot of their current desktop, package it, and install it on a different computer in the same state. This can be done fairly easy by using a tool that was created just for this purpose.
MakuluLinux Cinnamon is light and easy to use
Like most other Cinnamon-based distros, MakuluLinux is very friendly with new users and anyone can just pick it up and use it. It's based on Debian, which means that it's competing with Linux Mint, which doesn't have a stable iteration.

According to the changelog, the Linux kernel is now at version 3.16, the Cinnamon desktop environment has been upgraded to version 2.2.16, EFI support has been integrated, and firewall and antivirus applications have been added.
