Kate Upton, one of the most mediated models of the moment and DWTS dancing pro Maksim Chmerkovskiy are officially a couple. They made their first public outing together, after months of intense speculation as to the state of their relationship.

The two were linked romantically for the first time at the beginning of the summer, around her 21st birthday, when they were photographed dining together.

Though reports said they were an item, by July, other insiders were insisting they were just good friends without any romantic involvement whatsoever.

Today, they are making sure there is not a trace of doubt left as to the state of their relationship, stepping out hand in hand, as photos over at the Daily Mail can confirm.

They sure make a cute couple, don’t they?

“The Sports Illustrated model and her Dancing With the Stars alum beau held hands as they took an amorous stroll through New York's West Village. It looked like the buxom blonde had just been for a run as she wore a black top and cropped leggings under a grey windbreaker, along with trainers,” the Mail writes.

He, on the other hand, was looking chic in skinny black jeans and a casual pink shirt.

Both stars were wearing sunglasses but, if they were hoping to pass unnoticed because of them, they were clearly wrong.

This is officially Kate’s first high-profile romance since she managed to break into the spotlight, some would say, by mere chance.

By having curves and being obviously proud of them, while also insisting she would never starve herself to be a “typical” model, Kate has gone places few other female models before her could, landing both high fashion gigs and becoming a fan-favorite.

Since he was replaced on DWTS by his brother, Maks has been appearing on Broadway.
