Finally, here’s one DWTS change fans are likely to embrace

ABC announced over the weekend that Brooke Burke-Charvet, one of the co-hosts on Dancing With the Stars for the past several seasons, would not return for season 18, which premieres in April. However, here’s one piece of news that’s bound to be embraced by fans: Maks is coming back.

Nothing is official as of now, but TooFab claims to have it on very good authority that DWTS veteran Maksim Chmerkovskiy will return as a pro dancer for this brand new season. This will make it his 14th season.

Maks announced that he would be leaving DWTS “for good” last September because he needed a clearer schedule so that he could focus on other projects as well. He made only one brief appearance on the previous season, not as a dancer but as a guest judge.

It’s unknown yet what has made him go back on his initial decision but, despite the controversies he sometimes got himself into, mostly because of his loud mouth, he was one of the most popular pros on the show, so I have no doubt fans are very happy right now.

“Right now, it's unclear if Maks will do any additional seasons after this one,” TooFab also says.

Next Tuesday, the celebrities who will appear on DWTS will be announced on ABC’s Good Morning America, as well as the pairings with the pro dancers. We’ll see then who Maks ends up with.
