After updating its iPhone 5S with an awesome security feature, Apple also wants to make sure that people no longer take advantage of its Genius Bar appointment system.

After reports broke out that cybercriminals created email addresses to establish Genius Bar appointments and then sell them online, Apple has decided to make it harder to book some time with the blue shirts in Apple retail stores.

In short, you now need your credentials with Apple. You know, that handy ID that you pull out every time you want to download an app or a song on iTunes.

“Apple ID is the one account for everything you do with Apple. You may already have an Apple ID if you've ever shopped at the Apple Online Store, purchased from the iTunes Store, logged in to iCloud or accessed Apple Support,” Apple says.

As this screenshot shows, instead of asking for your email address, Apple now wants your ID to make sure you’re visiting on business, not “making” a business.
