Up until now, users who wanted to make the most of Windows 8 had to either buy a touch-capable device or simply plug in a keyboard and a mouse to access its features in the traditional way.

Leap Motion, on the other hand, makes everything a lot easier. The company developed a new technology that recognizes hand gestures and controls Windows 8 computers without requiring you to touch anything.

As you can see in this video, both the Metro and the desktop environments are working just fine, so Windows 8 is 99 percent supported by this new system, including drawing apps, such as the famous FreshPaint.

In case you’re wondering, the new device will be released on July 22, but you can already place an order and reserve your own Leap. It costs only $79.99 (€62) and works with both Windows 8 and Windows 7.
