14 DAY TRIAL // Numix 2.0 is a very modern flat theme that combines a number of dark and light elements, with support for Gnome, Unity, XFCE and Openbox.
There are a lot of new flat themes available for various desktop environments, but there are very few that are actually worth installing. Numix features great quality and the developers have been careful to update it often.
The installation of this theme is very easy because it can be done through a simple PPA. The developer also provides a source package for manual installation.
Open a terminal and run the following commands:
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:numix/ppa sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get install numix-gtk-theme
If you have Ubuntu 13.10 (Saucy Salamander), you only have to run a single command:
sudo apt-get install shimmer-themes
