Make Your Own NSA and Spy On Your Pet Snail with Raspberry Pi

A four-year-old has thought about a new way of using his Raspberry Pi

A kid has managed to set up a spy cam for his pet snail using a Raspberry Pi, a simple webcam, and a cereal box.

Raspberry Pi is a great tool for teaching kids some basic programming skills, and the project of four-year-old Lincoln Heard shows the potential of this small minicomputer.

With the help of his dad, the kid set up a habitat for his pet snail, which he can inspect at any time without disturbing the animal.

The Raspberry Pi has been transformed into a small web server, and then Lincoln took care of the rest of the setup, making a small “Minibeasts” habitat.

Raspberry Pi relies on an ARM processor with a clock speed of 700 MHz, 512 MB of RAM, an SD card slot, and a 5V Micro USB connector that supplies the power. It also features RCA and HDMI ports.
