Simple tweaks help you change the looks of Windows 7

Windows 9 is not here yet, but a collection of screenshots allegedly coming from the new operating system reached the web last week, helping us get a glimpse of the feature lineup and the looks of this new version.

And in case you like the way Windows 9 looks, you can bring the same appearance on your Windows 7 too, all with just a few tweaks.

As DeviantArt user mufflerexoz claims, changing the visual style of Windows 7 and installing a third-party Start menu should be enough to bring the Windows 9 look on your computer in just a couple of minutes.

Before everything, you need to patch Windows theme files with UXTheme Multi-Patcher in order to be allowed to install third-party themes. After that, download the visual style, plus the Windows 9 Start menu button style that’s available as part of Windows 7 Start Orb Changer.

As you can see, there’s nothing too complicated, but administrator privileges are needed to perform all these tasks. A backup would also help, just in case something goes wrong and you might need to restore your PC.

Of course, do not expect things to be too different in Windows 7 after performing these tweaks, but at least you can get a taste of Windows 9 before it actually hits the shelves.
