I have very, very bad news for the people living in California. It would seem that L.A. has turned into a magnet for some of the world's most controversial trainwrecks. Does the name "Britney Jean Spears" ring a bell to you? I'm sure it must. Kidding. Well, I know we all thought the world was a safer place now that Brit Brit was safely locked up in the psych ward of the UCLA Medical Center, but we were wrong. Now that one Spears walking disaster is off the streets, there's another one preparing to take over the world, one piece at a time - and as I was telling you, California is up first.
I'm talking about Brit Brit's little pregnant sister. Jamie Lynn is sick and tired of her mother keeping her hidden away from the eyes of the media, and wants to make a run for it. Literally. Jamie Lynn reportedly wants to move away from Louisiana and come to live with he daddy in L.A. "She wants to be settled in before the baby is born in March or early April - and she wants to be closer to film projects she'd like to start after giving birth" says a source. Now, I do have a problem with that statement. First of all, I honestly doubt work offers will be pouring for Jamie Lynn in L.A. - since I have a feeling most studio bosses will have a tiny little problem with turning a pregnant teenager into a poster girl for
any kind of movie. They will definitely not want to upset conservative parents, so my money goes to door being shut in Jamie Lynn's face.
Also, I doubt Jamie Lynn wants to come to L.A. because she suddenly realized she loves her daddy more than she loves her mommy. I think she's a... well, not smart, but intuitive girl and feels that the hard cash is made in L.A. How long you think it will be until there's a bidding war between magazines for her first baby pictures? My bet is, her mother is trying to keep her in check, away from the party scene and away from accidental baby number two. Lynne also reportedly refuses
to let Jamie see her baby daddy, Casey Aldridge. The fact is, I think that for once Momma Spears is trying to do the right thing, but I have a feeling her second daughter may be just as stupidly stubborn as the first.
"Jamie Lynn knows Britney smoked and drank during her pregnancy - and because Britney's boys turned out fine, Jamie Lynn thinks her baby will be fine too", adds the same source. Is that a statement or a supposition - the part about Brit's boys turning out OK? I mean, I'm really sorry to have to say this, but being almost dropped on your head, constantly around an alcoholic, drugged out mother and her shady boyfriends and being taken hostage by your own mother in a three hour police standoff is not "normal" in my books. Maybe I'm just old-fashioned like that. The fact is, I'm afraid Jamie Lynn is already displaying signs of "Brit-ness" - I'm sure she came up with this story about moving over to L.A. because she felt her sister being locked up in a mental facility is stealing her spotlight. Do I sense a little attention whore in the making?
