This peculiar pillow is the brainchild of Florida designer Emily King

Those who have absolutely nobody special on their mind this Valentine's Day or do have someone they dream about night and day but lack the confidence to approach might be interested to learn that there is something out there that promises to make it all better.

This something is the so-called Make-Out Practice Pillow, which Florida designer Emily King says that she created especially for lonely people and those who feel like their kissing technique could use some improvement.

Emily King's peculiar Make-Out Practice, a picture of which is available next to this article, is fitted with a mouth that sits at its center.

According to Daily Mail, the mouth comes from a CPR dummy, which means that it is fairly life-like and therefore might – provided that lots of imagination is also factored in – help people feel less lonely.

Commenting on her decision to create the Make-Out Practice Pillow, Emily King said that, “When I was in middle school, everyone 'joked' about making out with pillows for practice. I'm assuming that I was not the only one for whom the jokes had some truth.”

“There seems to have been little innovation in the make-out practice pillow department despite the rise in popularity of decorative 'Let's Make Out' pillows and cuddle pillows, so it is time to step in and offer a new solution to the middle-schoolers or lonely hearts of the world: a pillow with a mouth,” she added.

The Florida designer says that, of the people that she has spoken to about this pillow until now, most of those who were quick to label the idea as downright creepy are over the age of 25.

The younger ones, on the other hand, were amused and admitted that they would not be opposed to the idea of having one such pillow around the house.

“Anyone under the age of 25 thought it was hilarious and awesome: middle-school to college-age seemed to be the sweet spot of people who really liked the idea,” Emily King said.

Make-Out Practice Pillows sell for $31 (€22.72) each, and come in several colors.
