There are major spoilers ahead, so proceed only at your own risk! A new “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” TV spot has been released and it potentially gives away a huge plot twist that will definitely sadden a lot of fans.

If we're to believe what is being depicted in the new spot, the writers of the script plan on killing a major character in the plot in this one, and it's doubly dangerous, since it's a recurring character in other stories of the Marvel universe which have a tendency to run into each other often.

The clip shows The Winter Soldier blowing up an SUV that just seconds earlier is shown to be driven by S.H.I.E.L.D. head honcho, Nick Fury, played by Samuel L. Jackson.

This particular scene was featured in all the previous trailers, but viewers had no idea that Fury was still in the car at the time it blew up. Of course, at this point, it's all a speculation of conjuncture, but later in the same spot, the Captain himself comes to confirm what we all speculated.

“Fury's last words were not to trust anyone,” says Captain America in the voiceover, driving a cold knife through the heart of many fans. Buzz around Hollywood spoke of such a possibility, but, so far, no one thought it could be possible, mainly because Jackson is already set to reprise his role as Fury in the new “Avengers: The Age of Ultron” movie.

Of course, if we're making comparisons, it should be mentioned that a similar fate was imparted to Agent Coulson, who dies in the first “Avengers” film, only to be magically resurrected in the TV spin-off “Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.”

“Captain America: The Winter Soldier” is billed to appear in theaters across the US starting with April 4. Chris Evans and Scarlett Johansson are set to reprise their roles as Captain America and Black Widow, with Anthony Mackie making an appearance in the role of Falcon.
