Major League Baseball 2K8, or in shorter terms, MLB 2K8, is a MLB licensed baseball simulation video game developed by Kush Games and published by 2K Sports for the PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3, PlayStation Portable, Wii, and Xbox 360. It was released on March 4, 2008. A demo was released on Xbox Live Marketplace the next day, on March 5, for Canada, United States and Asian markets.

There are several new features:

90 playable real-life minor league baseball teams and players
(restricted to players who have had major league experience), including 20 authentic minor league stadiums.
2K Cards, unlockable trading cards
New pitching system in which the pitch type is determined by analog stick movement
Swing Stick 2.0, a revamped analog batting system which allows an increased variety of batted balls (Baltimore Chops, bloops, dribblers, etc.)
New ball-throwing system which is also determined by analog stick movement
More realistic fielding tweaks, and a revamp of double play animation and gameplay.
Downloadable minor league stadiums
Revamped baserunning, with more intuitive controls and smarter baserunning AI
Additional Signature Style animations
Downloadable content (Xbox 360)

373. Gary Carter: Throw out 3 runners attempting to steal in a game with any player.
374. Paul Molitor: Go on a 10-game hitting streak during a season with Joe Mauer. To get credit for completing this challenge, you must play not simulate the most recent game of the streak.
375. Bobby Grich: Win the "Great Gloves" trophy with any team awarded to the team that finishes a season with the best team fielding percentage. You must play (not simulate) at least 30 MLB games in a season.
376. Luis Aparicio: Steal 5 bases in a game with White Sox.
377. Johnny Pesky: Finish a season with David Ortiz ranked among the league's top 5 in on-base percentage OBP. You must play (not simulate) at least 10 MLB games in a season.
378. Bill Madlock: Win 1 Silver Slugger awards with your user profile. Card is awarded again for every 1 Silver Slugger awards you win.
379. Dom DiMaggio: Score 5 runs in an inning with any team.
380. Fred Lynn: Win 1 Rookie of the Year award with your user profile. Card is awarded again for every 1 Rookie of the Year award you win.
381. Steve Garvey: Get 15 sacrifices with your user profile. Card is awarded again for every 15 sacrifices you make.
382. Tony Olivia: Hit a pinch hit home run with any player.
383. Don Newcombe: Win 2 Cy Young award with your user profile. Card is awarded again for every 2 Cy Young award you win.
384. Ron Cey: Hit an inside-the-park home run with any player.
385. Dave Kingman: Get 500 total bases with your user profile. Card is awarded again for every 500 total bases you get.
386. Bill Buckner: Hit for a 450 average or better in a game with any team in a minimum 7 inning game.

390. Mel Stottlemyre Sr.: Pitch 200 innings with your user profile. Card is awarded again for every 200 innings you pitch.
391. Vida Blue: Finish a season with your team having led the league in runs allowed. You must play (not simulate) at least 40 MLB games in a season.
392. Dave Parker: Collect 200 base hits with your user profile. Card is awarded again for every 200 base hits you get.
393. George Foster: Win 1 MVP award with your user profile. Card is awarded again for every 1 MVP award you win.
394. Frank Tanana: Strikeout 12 batters in a game with any team.
395. Phil Niekro: Strikeout 15 batters in a game with any team.
396. Bruce Sutter: Get 400 total bases with your user profile. Card is awarded again for every 400 total bases you get.
397. Goose Gossage: Win the All-Star Game in Franchise mode. You must play (not simulate) at least 30 MLB games by the All-star break.
398. Fred McGriff: Win the "Great Gloves" trophy with any team awarded to the team that finishes a season with the best team fielding percentage. You must play (not simulate) at least 40 MLB games in a season.
399. Andre Dawson: Hit 20 home runs with your user profile. Card is awarded again for every 20 home runs you hit.
400. Jim Rice: Score 12 runs in a game with any team.

402. Alan Trammell: Finish a season with your team having led the league with the fewest errors committed. You must play (not simulate) at least 50 MLB games in a season.
403. Will Clark: Collect 300 base hits with your user profile. Card is awarded again for every 300 base hits you get.
404. Paul O'Neill: Get a base hit in a "Clutch at-bat" situation with Paul O'Neill.
405. Rick Sutcliffe: Win 2 Cy Young award with your user profile. Card is awarded again for every 2 Cy Young award you win.
406. Ron Guidry: Pitch 3 shutouts with your user profile. Card is awarded again for every 3 shutouts you get.
