Major League Baseball 2K8 is the lasted baseball simulation released by 2K Sports in North America. The title, developed by Kush Games, is also expected to be released in Australia on the 26th of August 2008. New York Mets shortstop Jose Reyes is the cover athlete, replacing Derek Jeter, who had been on the cover for three years in a row.

Gamers who played MLB 2K8 generally criticized it for a somewhat laggy experience, but except for that, they praised the game. All in all, it is still early to say whether the game is a successful one or not - we'll have to wait for the Australian release and watch the fans’ reaction over there.
