Even though the news is swarming with headlines about NVIDIA's GTX 560 Ti, this is not the only one of the company's cards that have been busy lately, as proven by Maingear's latest laptop.

Maingear's latest mobile computer is a high-end model that claims to be the world's fastest in its category.

Going by the name of eX-L 15, it is a 15.6-inch notebook built around the Intel Core i7-2920XM central processing unit.

Said CPU is backed up by up to 16 GB of DDR3-1,333 SO-DIMM DRAM and paired with the very powerful NVIDIA GeForce GTX 485M 2 GB GDDR5 graphics card.

Those that want more affordability can 'settle' for the GTX 460M 1.5 GB GDDR5 discrete card, though this one is quite powerful in itself.

For storage, a 7,200 RPM HDD of up to 750 GB is available, or a 1 TB 5,400 RPM model, either in the 2.5-inch form factor.

Other specifications include a 2x Blu-ray Reader/8x Super Multi combo drive, a Full HD LED display (1,920 x 1,080 pixels) and, of course, the full list of connectivity and I/O (WiFi, LAN, USB etc.).

"We continually strive to push our system's performance over the edge,” said Wallace Santos, CEO and Founder of MAINGEAR.

“With Intel and NVIDIA's latest mobile technology, we are giving our customers a notebook that will really plow through anything they try throwing at it. It will be no surprise that any PC enthusiast will want to get their hands on our eX-L 15."

"Visually-stunning graphics and the fastest mobile performance available - that is what you get with an NVIDIA GeForce® GTX 485M-powered eX-L 15 notebook from MAINGEAR," said David Ragones, Director of Product Marketing, NVIDIA.

"The GTX 485M brings cinema quality effects to notebook gaming with the combined power of GeForce with DirectX 11 and NVIDIA PhysX technologies."

The starting price of Maingear's eX-L 15 is of $1,579. All information can be found here.
