Maingear Gives Gamers a New Toy, the eX-L 15 Gaming Laptop

Maingear launches new eX-L 15 gaming laptop

Maingear, one of the leading boutique builders of high-performance, portable and desktop computer systems, has announced today the expansion of its line of gaming laptops with the introduction of the new 15.4-inch eX-L 15 model. Designed to provide users with the latest solutions on the market and a high level of performance, the new Maingear laptop has been built using Intel's newest Core 2 Duo/Quad processors, combined with one of NVIDIA's latest-generation mobile GeForce graphics processing units.

“The eX-L 15 is the ideal solution for the gamer who values mobility but doesn't want to sacrifice performance,” said Wallace Santos, CEO and founder of Maingear. “Its crystal clear resolution and powerful graphics performance powered by Nvidia will bring your games to life no matter where you are.”

The eX-L 15 has been designed with a high-quality 15.5-inch display, which is said to be capable of providing users with support for a resolution of 1920 by 1200 pixels. In addition, coming to provide users with support for the latest gaming applications on the market, the new Maingear laptop has been equipped with NVIDIA's GeForce GTX 260M graphics processing unit, featuring 1GB of graphics memory. The high-performance GPU can be combined with either a Core 2 Duo or a Core 2 Quad processor from Intel, consequently delivering a high level of performance.

Additional features of the eX-L 15 laptop include the 8GB of RAM that can be installed on the system and up to 1.5TB of storage. These come together to enable the necessary performance for running any of the latest games, allowing the end-user to take advantage of an ultimate gaming experience in a portable computer system.

The Maingear eX-L will be powered by an 8-cell battery pack and will be available with either a Windows Vista Home Premium or Ultimate operating system. Price wise, you are looking at a laptop that starts at US$1,899.
