Mailbox, a fledging email service for iOS customers, acquired by Dropbox Inc., is now available without a reservation. Simply download the free app, get your email address, and start using.

Described as “a mobile inbox that puts email in its place,” Mailbox introduces features like swappable messages, the ability to scan an entire conversation with chat-like organization, functions like snooze email, and other cool stuff.

Updated earlier this week to version 1.2.0, Mailbox already got an UI overhaul and some improvements to the snooze feature. Best of all, (according to a swift blog entry made by the developers right after the update rolled out), the service is now available without the wait.

Here’s what the app’s creators have to say:

“Mailbox is now available without having to wait in line. After 10 weeks of around-the-clock hard work, our engineering team has scaled the Mailbox service to deliver over 100 million messages per day (and growing). We believe we can now confidently handle new users as they sign up, so we’ve pulled down the reservation system.”
