Dropbox-owned Mailbox, a powerful email client for iOS platforms, now works with iCloud and Yahoo accounts, which has been the primary request from users worldwide.

Up until today, Mailbox only supported Gmail accounts, which means that a great chunk of the iOS install base had no reason to use the app. In many ways, Mailbox is actually better than Apple’s own Mail client, and now it supports iCloud (@me) and Yahoo accounts, making it even more relevant for the masses.

Additionally, Mailbox 1.7.0 delivers background syncing, an option to disable the “help me get to zero” banner, a toggle for disabling “swipe to open drawer,” and bug fixes and UX improvements.

You can download Mailbox and install it on any iOS 7 device (no iOS 6 support, unfortunately). Hardware compatibility starts at iPhone 4.
