Paradox Interactive has revealed the changes just implemented into Magicka: Wizard Wars, the online competitive multiplayer title currently available on Steam Early Access.

Players of Magicka: Wizard Wars can now access a Magicka Screen for their in-game wizard, where they can now unlock powerful new combinations to use in battle. Gameplay will reward players with crystals that can be used to unlock Magick spells to use on foes in matches.

The holiday spirit has also seeped in to the world of Magicka, now presenting festive Iamps, snow backgrounds and snowballs to equip as weapons, freezing enemies where they stand.

The new content has been created by the robe enthusiasts at Paradox North, a recently formed branch of Paradox Interactive, located all the way in Stockholm, one floor above the Paradox Interactive offices. Some lucky wizards will be able to see their floor with their own eyes, as Paradox North is currently hiring.

The team is also introduced in the newly released video, available at the bottom.

In Magicka: Wizard Wars, two teams of four wizards each engage in intense PvP action employing the celebrated Magicka spellcasting system, combining elements to generate spellbinding results.

Friendly fire is always on and hundreds of spells and effects are always available to the mages, the victory going to the team that manages to only blow up their opponents.

Designed for short and furious battles, skill-based spellcasting and filled with plenty of humor, Magicka: Wizard Wars introduces a new way to experience the chaos of Magicka and PvP gaming.

Players interested in gaining early access should head out to the game's Steam page.
