The development teams at Pieces Interactive and Paradox are ready to deliver a new trailer for their upcoming Magicka 2 video game, which features quite a bit of singing and is designed to get fans of the series in the mood to also show off their vocal skills as they deliver karaoke remixes if they are interested in getting access to a prize.

The actual footage is pretty weird and continues the loopy promotional efforts that have been offered for the first installment in the series.

The two companies state, “In celebration of Magicka 2, we’ve opened a contest for anyone who wants to sing their own version of the karaoke video we just showed you! Ambitious and foolhardy songsmiths can grab an instrumental version of the song from the trailer, along with an .mp4 video file with the lyrics. Sing along, create your own karaoke video, and you can win a sweet prize!”

All those interested in taking part in the contest can log into the official site.

Magicka 2 is set to continue to offer free-form spellcasting while creating a bigger world for players to explore.

The title will be launched in early 2015 and is set to be offered on the PlayStation 4 from Sony and the PC.
