14 DAY TRIAL // Lookout, Kim Kardashian, there's a new diva in town. His name is EJ Johnson, he's Magic Johnson's son, he's 22 and for him the world is his oyster. Because he enjoys a lifestyle that the rest of us merely dream about, the young EJ was chosen to appear on E!'s controversial #RichKids of Beverly Hills reality series.
Right off the bat, EJ makes a big impression with his imposing size but also with his larger-than-life persona. He wears only designer clothes and describes himself as a “glamazon,” a combination of “glamorous” and “Amazon.”
He comes on the reality show and makes a predictable confession. “Yachting is my favorite pastime. Whether it is Friday, Saturday, Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday, honey, yachting is always cute,” he says in his glamorous voice.
It's easy to see how this lifestyle full of over-indulgence and luxury can transform you into a self-absorbed person, but that doesn't mean that the audience watching the reality series is going to cut him some slack.
EJ understands that his personality is going to attract some negative reviews, but he doesn't care. He knows that this show is going to be the perfect way to launch his public image, “I’m not just on the show to be obnoxious. This is a launchpad for me.”
He is keen to point out that not all rich kids spend their days idly by, blowing their inheritance away, “If we really weren’t being productive, if we were really just doing nothing but sitting around and spending lots of money with no motivation, the show could be damaging to young people.”
“But that’s not the case. We have all this privilege, but, you know, we’re trying to move past that and pave our way and make our own history and become our own moguls and own business-people,” EJ adds.

At the moment, EJ is currently undergoing classes at NYU and he's just one semester short of finishing college. He's been studying hospitality and event planning, and he claims that this experience has been very important to him to bring him closer to other people.
