Yenko has updated its addictive Dice game to version 1.5.3. The update addresses a visual bug with artwork in setup and score screens. Magic Dice is based on a popular dice game that consists of 13 rounds, at the end of which the player with the highest score is the winner.

Magic Dice is "a 5 of a kind game for 1 of a kind fun!" Yenko says. Based, as noted above, on a popular dice game, Magic Dice consists of thirteen rounds, which must be completed with the highest score for the player to be the winner. In order to do that, players have the option of either trying to beat their previous high scores or inviting some friends to play along. You can view your score from the last game, plus top ten scores of all games played on your Mac. The game delivers realistic dice animation and sound effects with cool icons, simple scoring, all built on Framework 2.0.1.

According to Yenko, Magic Dice is built with the latest version of the Yenco framework. It also includes enhancements, such as improved game performance for owners of a PowerPC G3 or a G4 Mac. Also, the game window now fades out to 80% opacity when not active. Version 1.5.1 also fixed a text redraw issue after rolling the dice.

The game also sports hefty dice animation and sound effects, while players can choose from an assortment of different icons when setting up their player list.

Currently at version 1.5.3, Magic Dice is available for download here. A trial version, which allows you to play the game for fifteen times (all features active) can also be downloaded at the same address. Those who already own the game can update to the new version for free. Magic Dice requires Mac OS X 10.2 or later, and is a Universal Binary.
