Thales Navigation, makers of Hertz NeverLost and global provider of Magellan consumer GPS products, announced today the Magellan RoadMate 360.

At only $699 US, the color-touch-screen Magellan RoadMate 360 delivers a full set of navigation features, including preloaded, full-coverage detailed street maps with no need for PC configuration to gain door-to-door guidance in Canada, Puerto Rico and all 50 United States, including Alaska and Hawaii.

Drivers also gain the same intuitive user interface, derived from the Hertz NeverLost system, which has made the flagship Magellan RoadMate 700 the leading portable auto navigation product in the United States.

The Magellan RoadMate 360 also integrates the most up-to-date NAVTEQ maps to provide reliable and accurate information as it guides drivers to their destination. Clearly audible turn-by-turn voice prompts are delivered through a high-quality integrated speaker to help guide the driver with maximum convenience.

The 3.5-inch, high-resolution daylight visible TFT color touch screen shows the driver's progress on a moving map, along with text directions and visual prompts, including a 3-D graphic of upcoming turns. The touch screen and an intuitive backlit keypad give drivers direct access to menu options. The optimized QuickSpell keyboard and new Autofill feature provide faster and easier address input.
