14 DAY TRIAL // Andrew Morton has a new unauthorized biography coming out on none other than Angelina Jolie, reportedly complete with never before seen photos taken in the star’s wild days and that will change for ever the way the world perceives her. To promote his book, Morton has teamed up with Star magazine, allowing it to run several of those “scandalous” pics, News.com informs.
This week’s issue of Star comes with a photo of Brad Pitt and Angelina on the cover, apparently having words – though it could have been the timing that makes it look so. It comes with the eye-catching caption “Angie & Brad: The photos that will tear them apart! Brad thought he knew everything – but he has no clue.” And inset is an older photo of Angelina, apparently not wearing a top, with a cigarette dangling from her lips, in what looks like a glamorous photospreap.
In reality, the pic was taken during a cocaine binge, Star claims. And there’s more where this one came from, the tab further says. From what Morton says for the same publications, these photos will show the world just how “wild” and out of control Angelina was when she was younger (they were reportedly taken in 1999), and how hard she’s fought to keep her past hidden from the world. Whether there’s any truth to all this is, of course, highly arguable.
“The photographs are a startling reminder to Angelina of a period in her life I’m sure she wants to forget, a shady piece of her history that she’s kept hidden away, even from Brad,” celebrity biographer Andrew Morton, author of “Angelina: An Unauthorized Biography,” says for Star. So far, only the inset pic has surfaced online, with celebrity bloggers saying it was most likely taken at a fashion shoot. In other words, Star may be trying to stir up controversy for nothing because the photo is not from Angelina’s personal archive – and fans know she’s done plenty of such “shocking” spreads before she met Brad and settled down.
As News.com also points out, Morton timed the release of his biography to coincide with the release of Jolie’s latest film, “Salt,” which she’s currently promoting all over the world. This way, Morton will get to enjoy more exposure than he would if he’d chosen to come out with his book at a different time.
