MagTek Inc. has recently launched MagneSafe P55, a portable card reader authenticator. This model is the first to incorporate Bluetooth capability for bi-directional communication with a PC or mobile phone.

Secure data transfer is the most important aspect of this device, for it is meant to ensure safe wireless data transferring. Numerous card swipes are possible, as the MagneSafe P55 uses end-to-end data encryption and enables a fast-track FFIEC and PCI DSS compliance for data security insurance. It can have applications in secure internet banking, e-commerce, online brokerage, website access, or any needed transaction payment applications.

"The wireless interface and enhanced security features of the P55 create a powerful combination to accomplish the convenience and card data protection demanded by today's mobile users," said Annmarie Hart, President and CEO of MagTek.

The P55's battery can easily be recharged from a USB port or a 5V source, which makes it very easy to use. Another handy aspect is its reduced size, making it possible to fit in the palm of your hand or in any small pocket. It can be used in a range of 10 m, enough for user mobility to be ensured.

MagTek has been for more than three decades a world leader in electronic transaction technology. By their launching of the P55 model, secure data transfer is considerably improved, as it reduces user efforts to the minimum.
