Mag Says Demi Moore Is Drinking Heavily, a ‘Mess’

As she’s seeing her 6-year marriage to Ashton Kutcher crumble to pieces, Demi Moore is dealing with another, just as serious problem: her heavy drinking. She’s a “mess” because of it, a new report claims.

Since the cheating scandal broke, there’s been a lot of talk about whether Demi’s obvious weight loss is directly connected to Ashton’s infidelities or if there’s another cause to it.

InTouch claims that it may be down to Demi’s insecurities and marital problems. Her heavy drinking too may play a part in it, the magazine writes in its latest print issue, as cited by Hollywood Life.

In other words, for quite some time, Demi has been thinking she’s not good enough for her younger man. Shortly after word of Ashton’s cheating got out in the press, she turned to drowning her sorrows in liquor.

“Demi is a complete mess. The last year of her life has been a downward spiral, and she’s being urged to face her demons,” a friend of the star is quoted as saying.

When Demi and Ashton were having their home renovated, the insider goes on to say, she would reportedly greet the workers every morning “sloppy drunk.”

“She would be drunk to the point of [sensual] dancing and passing out. The workers were embarrassed for Ashton. Demi seemed too insecure – like she was working so hard to prove her appeal,” dishes the unnamed source.

It’s clear that Demi has a serious problem and that it’s been getting worse in recent weeks, but it’s not something new, the same report says.

Demi was in rehab briefly in the ‘80s for an alleged drug addiction that she claimed to have kicked, but she’s been keeping her boozing a secret for many, many years.

“Demi is in a bad place, and her loved ones are concerned. They want her to get better… it’s a misconception that she was ever 100 percent sober. She’s been drinking for years,” the same insider explains.

Recent reports have also claimed that the actress is back to using drugs – so this could mean that neither rumor is true.
