14 DAY TRIAL // As announced back in June this year, Hannibal Lecter is getting ready for (hopefully) a major comeback. NBC is now shooting a brand new series with the sadistic villain as protagonist, starring Mads Mikkelsen.
The first photos from the production have just hit the net, and you can see them in the gallery below, courtesy of Slash Film.
They confirm what fans have been saying ever since news broke: Mads is bound to make for a superb villain, one perhaps that could rival Sir Anthony Hopkins, who literally made history with his Lecter.
Just look at him eating those brains with his eyes!
The photos also show Hugh Dancy as FBI agent Will Graham, and Laurence Fishburne as his boss Jack Crawford, the aforementioned movie e-zine notes.
The new “Hannibal” will probably premiere on NBC in midseason, but no official announcement in this sense has been made yet.
