Madonna has recently been injured in a horse riding accident, and is currently recovering, as she suffered three cracked ribs, a broken collarbone and a broken hand.

The diva is doing everything she can to be fully fit in time for the release of her new album, Confessions on a Dancefloor, which is due out on 15 November.

Madonna is not expected to be able to perform properly for about three months, but she will be ready for her summer tour, as previously announced.

"I don't know if she's going to be hanging from a disco ball anytime soon.", her U.S spokeswoman Liz Rosenberg said.

Madonna is famous for her dance routines as she has been seen doing splits and yoga positions in her videos, so she is battling for a full recovery in order to perform an energetic show, like she used to.

"It's going to be really hard for her to take a deep breath because of those ribs so she isn't going to want to belt out," according to Leela Biant, Orthopaedic surgeon, Lister Hospital
"But of course she can sing gently and hum to keep the vocal chords working", the doctor said.
"She's got a medical problem here and needs to be well looked after by a doctor to make sure that lung is actually expanding", Dr Biant added.
